The Dooars is a scenic floodplain region in the foothills of the Eastern Himalayas, stretching from the Teesta River in West Bengal to the Sankosh River in Assam. Acting as a historical gateway ("door") to Bhutan, it is famous for dense wildlife forests, green tea estates, and fast-flowing rivers.
